THIS IS BEING WORKED ON... DON'T TAKE ANYTHING AS ACCURATE.

Introduction

Warning: These notations are more for my own personal use and for educational purposes. I took the risks of rooting upon myself, and will not be responsible for what others do to their device. Yes, I understood the real danger of bricking my device in trying to root and such. Research other sites for more instructions and programs to do the processes of rooting if you are up to the dangers. This can serve as a general information to give an overview of the process. Something I didn't see on the internet.

Definition:Rooting is the process of gaining administration privileges for a device that was locked down by the manufacture or third-party. This is my definition for my own understanding. On the internet I saw many different uses of the term.

Levels of control

  • Rooting-giving admin privileges to accomplishing various tasks. Honestly, I was mostly interested in studying the structure of the Android OS. This is not allowed on an unrooted device.
  • Unlocking-this is to give the user control of loading roms
  • Flashing-directly writing to memory.
